CaIfOnIa VaCaTiOn (picture overload!)

Our drive to Cali was actually not bad at all! M slept most of the way and when she was awake, treats and a good show was all she needed!

The first night we went to visit my grandma and M got stung by a bee. It was so sad! To this day her finger still hurts...go figure!

Breakfast at the hotel was yummy

Disneyland!!! Here we come!!! Yay!! As soon as we got there M was so happy and mesmerized by everything. There was so much stimulation she didn't know what to do or where to look first. She was just dancing her little heart out in the middle of Disney!

It's A Small World was he favorite ride. She was so ecstatic when she saw Woody and Ariel.

Cheese!! She was so excited when a nice man gave her a "1st visit to Disneyland" button.

Love this pic!!! She was so excited to see the characters but once it was picture time she would freak out. She would grab on to Stu so hard he thought she would leave a bruise on his chest. She finally turned for a picture but held on for dear life!

The parade was so fun. I love Disney! It is such a magical place and this year they had a really fun parade where you sang and danced your heart out. Yes! We got pulled into the middle and got to dance with the characters and dancers. It was so fun and not embarrassing at all!!!

We had such a great time. In the end M did not want to go home!!

The next day was Sea World!

I had never been to Sea World and let me tell you, it is not the place to go to in mid summer! It was so hot and not as enjoyable. We made the best of it and ended up having a pretty fun, hot day. It was so amazing to see all the sea animals!
We got to see Shamu, Dolphins, seals and people do pretty cool tricks. We thought it was pretty amazing.
It was kind of scary going through the shark tunnel. I kept imagining the worse.
It was so hot and even though M was excited to see cool shows this is as excited as her facial expressions got.

Some people amaze me! These guys were doing the coolest tricks on the poles. Sometimes just holding on with one hand.....Crazy!!!!
I have always wanted to touch a life starfish...
We were done at about 4 and on our way out M got a Shamu stamp that made her day. That is all she could talk about. We didn't even have to get her a souvenir b/c the stamp was enough to show the world she went to Sea World. Now a days she will show me her arm and she is sad b/c Shamu is gone. Saturday was Beach Day!!

As we were looking for a good spot we ran into a dead Seal. It was so sad!
My family joined us in Cali for the weekend and we had so much fun! The rip tide was so bad nobody was aloud to swim so we just raced the waves. Some of us were not fast enough or heavy enough and they would tumble in the water like a rag doll. It was scary at the time but once they got back up we would laugh b/c it was a pretty funny sight.

M loved playing in the sand!
We tried to build a Sand Castle.

2 years can be so creative. She said this was the wall so our Sand Castle would not get hurt by the water again.

Party!!! My Family with my cousin celebrating her Quinceanera. It is a Spanish tradition to throw a big party when a girl turns 15 years of age. This was it for my cute cousin Itzel (left.) It was so fun we ate lots of yummy food, saw family, friends and danced a lot.

I can't believe how tall by little brothers are!!! This is what M looked liked at the end of every day!!! We would get to the hotel room and she would pass out!!!! Part 2 of the Party! My cute cousin insisted on having one last Pinata. So her mom made her wish come true! M got to hit the Pinata and so did I. I had forgotten how much fun it is to have a pinata for your birthday. M loved it!!!!!!

M and her Cousin Andre with their stash of candy they collected. I didn't think M would understand what to do once the candy fell on the ground but it didn't take her long at all to realize she had to go for it. She did...her bag was pretty full, Thanks to dads help.
That Sunday Night we headed home but we didn't leave without having some In-N-Out and then we were content!!!! We had a GREAT time!!!

SwEeT BabY GiRl

Our sweet Baby Girl is growing up too fast!
I finally got around to getting her 2 year old pictures done and I am so, so happy with the job Jenny from Simply Sublime Photography did. She did an excellent job! Miya was surprisingly so good for us that morning. Of course there was a lot of bribing on my part but it all worked to perfection.
I cannot believe she is two! We love her so much and we are so happy she is part of our lifes.

As her aunt said..."This is a perfect picture of who Miya is." Happy, sweet and in our eyes so beautiful.

Our baby looks like such a big girl in this picture!

Thanks Jenny for being so patient and nice to Miya. You are so talented!!

Potty Trainning

+
Library

= Disaster

So we are potty training Miya once again!!! With the move back in February potty training was just not going to happen so I decided to get settled and now we are at that point where we can try again!

Well, Miya was in underwear yesterday and had 0 accidents. Yay Miya!

Today was day 2 of potty training. I was gutsy enough to head to the library and get us a couple of good books. We went to the potty as soon as we got there and of course Miya did not have to go. We head downstairs to look at some books and by the second book Miya is screaming..."mom poop! Poop! Yuck" as she's screaming these wonderful words Miya begins to cry bloody murder. What was a quiet library was now filled with my child screaming "Mom, Poop!" as she was going in her pants. I froze in place and I had no idea what to do. I finally snapped out of it hurried and grabbed the only thing I had which was a piece of paper and tried to stop her pee from running on to the carpet. Oh my gosh! I was so embarrassed!!!!!!!!! I grabbed Miya and ran out the door as fast as I could. Let me remind you that Miya did not stop crying nor screaming "Mom, Poop!" People were just staring at me and my accident girl. I'm sure people were wondering what the heck I was doing or completely grossed out at my poor little girl. Thinking back on it I'm sure I looked so funny to some. I was literally holding Miya out in front of me the whole way out, almost in tears and apologizing to the librarian. I HATE POTTY TRAINING!!!
