So Much To Post So Little Time

* I am so behind on this blog thing! There's more to come! With the move and summer here I have been too busy to blog but since my family is not very nice to me for not updating I will make sure I make some blog time in my schedule!!
Cinco De Mayo
We celebrated Cinco De Mayo with Jen and Steve and we had a very fun Mexican Time! It's funny how in Mexico it's not even a big deal but in America it's a another Holiday. I decided we would make the best out of this day and get made fun of by my Mexican family for actually celebrating it!
My Parents went to Mexico about a month ago and brought this adorable dress back for Miya. She looked so cute...just like a lil mexican girl. I braided her hair and I just wanted to eat her up.

We drank delicious Pina Coladas.

I made Stus Favorite Mexican Dish. Chiles Rellenos...Not as good as my moms but they were still so yummy!

Steve and Jen brought over some fried Ice Scream to top our Cinco De Mayo festivities!

It was a Fun Fiesta!!!!! (Not siesta Jen)

Easter
Easter Sunday was so fun at our house. I got up way too early and made Belgian waffles from scratch (I was so proud of myself!) and by eight I had Stu and Miya come down for breakfast. Miya was so excited when she saw her Easter basket. We had breakfast and talked about Jesus and had a very good Sunday morning. Love Stus Face! "The Basket" She got her favorite movie in the world!
She spotted the eggs around the living room and thought she would help clean up. Little did she know they were full of candy and all were for her. We had to sit down with her and explain.
We had so much fun with Miya and we can't wait for next year!

SaSsy Lil ThAnG

Miya has a mind of her own now! She is definitely a sassy lil girl and every moment and day spent with her is priceless. Here are a couple of our "Miya what are you doing?!?" and "Aww soo cute!" moments.

Miya saw these sun glasses at the store and had to have them! She would not take them off! ! She wears them at all times in the car. Snow, Rain or Shine miya has these cute glasses on.

$20 dollar lipstick all over her face! So cute! Stu and I were getting ready for church and we put on a show for her. We turned around and Miya had snuck into my make up drawer when we weren't looking and this is what we found! We tried to keep a straight face but we just couldn't. She kept asking us... "pretty mommy?"Needless to say, we were late to church!

While doing laundry miya snuck into my makeup drawer again!!! The joys!!! You're probably asking why don't I put my makeup where she cant get it?! It's only happened these two times. She is pretty good at staying away but she beat me to it these times. No biggy! Just cuteness!

She loves to make funny faces!
OK! this one was not my fault! My lil sis was in town and of course anything miya asked for she got. I left my sister in charge while i ran down stairs...5 minutes later i walked in and miya was putting mascara on!!! All over her face!!! My sister didn't think she could open it and gave it to her while she got ready, obviously not paying attention to what she was doing!! Miya thought it was pretty. All we could do was laugh! It was quite a sight

For her B-day she got this fun Bath toy from my family. We put her in the tub and she got on her belly and was playing with her mermaid, then she would get flounder and she would make them hug and talk. So SO SO Cute!!!

Miya also has this thing to put all her toys in a straight line. Cars, trains, stuffed animals, DVDs, books...it's cute but can you say...OCD!!! Hum...i wonder where she gets it from???

I made her 2nd most favorite food...Lasagna....yummy!!
We got her a Princess Cake but in Miyas words, "Cindelella" (Cinderella) Cake!" She calls all the Disney Princess Cinderella. After naming each one by their name a million times...I give up...they are Cindelella!
She got to cut the first slice of cake!

She doesn't look too happy but she really was...

yummy cake, she ate all of it...ok maybe just the frosting !!!!
After everyone had their share of cake I let miya go at it...and...she did.
She would lick the frosting off the top.
She then decided to use her finger...but just the one.

My cute baby girl!

Apparantley using her finger wasn't good enough and she just had to get the blue frosting off the side of her cake!

She finally had enough cake and found the Sleeping Beauty topper or as she calls her, "Cindelella."

We had such a wonderful time celebrating her birthday. Thank you to all our Family who came out to celebrate with us and for all the presents! It has been two tough years for Miya and it wasn't just any Birthday Celebration for us but a Celebration of Life and good Health for sweet Miya. We are so grateful to have her in our lifes and look forward to many, many years of fun memories with her!

Potty Tranning!

I cannot believe that I am actually starting to potty train my baby!!! As I was holding her in the potty last night trying to sing in a very animated way, I started to shed some tears. It hit me like a ton a bricks that my baby is no longer a baby and once she starts wearing underwear she will officially be considered a big girl to me. It's so sad! Miya is doing great! She loves to get Elmo stickers and loves to show her Daddy when he comes home. She likes to look in the toilet afterwards to see the great "stuff" mommy is cheering and going crazy about. She then likes to turn around and give me a high five. I love our little miya. I have come to learn to cherish every second that I have with her because they just grow up too fast.

Dancing It Up

I am so excited to announce that Miya was signed up for Dancing lessons!!! I have been waiting for this, for so long. Miya will dance to any Music anywhere, anytime! We took her to her first Dance concert last week to watch Vibe-The Evolution of Dancing in Provo and she absolutely enjoyed every minute of it!! She would get up and Dance, if the girls were shaking their bum, Miya would shake hers! If they were kicking their legs, Miya was kicking her legs! I was laughing so hard! She would clap and scream just like the rest of us. I was entertained by the show but a lot more by Miya "trying" to move like the dancers.

Her lessons start next week at Dancing It Up in Bountiful and I cannot wait! In Miyas words..."Woo Hoo!"
Check out Dancing It Up! It is a new Dance studio that will open next week. It is owned by my good friend Cami Bryson, who is an excellent dancer. Other then having excellent instructors it is also very affordable! For more information call Cami at 801-635-5450

Christmas 2008

Very Late Post. I'm still trying to catch up!
Christmas was so fun this year. It was all about Miya! Paper cuts from wrapping gifts was so worth the reaction we got from her the next morning! She was excited to see that George had made it to our house and since everything else was wrapped up she did not care for anything else but George. As soon as Daddy helped open the first gift she realize that fun and great things were under all the wrapping paper. It took us forever to open up her presents b/c she wanted to play w/ each and every one of them after she unwrapped them. Her big and most favorite present was her baby set. She played with her baby all day and it was so cute to watch her care for her baby doll. We had a wonderful Christmas and loved every second spent with each other.

Santa made it to our home!!!

Unwrapping her Favorite present

She loved everything she got, she didn't know what t play with next!!
Daddy helping Miya with her baby Miya had to have her baby with her at all times!
